To become a member of the Connecticut Masonic Fraternity a man must have a belief in a Supreme Being, be free of lawful restraints, over the age of eighteen and a resident of the State of Connecticut for a minimum of one year immediately prior to the date a petition can be received, investigated and balloted upon.

A petition is filed with a local lodge; the candidate investigated personally and then elected to receive the three degrees of Masonry
